Personal Biography

Elizabeth began her legal career in 2006 in the area of business transactions. In 2007, she shifted her focus primarily to Family Court cases. Elizabeth has since developed her private family court practice, working as an associate attorney in complex domestic litigation for reputable law firms in the area, serving as a Guardian ad Litem, and spending one year as staff attorney for the South Carolina Department of Social Services in the area of abuse and neglect. She became a
member of Family Advocacy Law Firm, LLC in May of 2020.


Elizabeth attended Wofford College as an Anna Todd Wofford Scholar and Merit Scholarship recipient. She graduated summa cum laude in 2003 with a B.S. in Biology with emphasis in pre-medicine and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. While at Wofford, Elizabeth was a member of the tennis team and dance team, an officer in various student organizations, and served as a genetics and chemistry peer tutor. Elizabeth received a Merit Scholarship to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated cum laude in May of 2006, receiving the honor of Order of Wig and Robe and three CALI awards. While in law school, she served on the ABA Real Property Probate and Trust Journal, was an officer in student organizations, and was a peer tutor and research assistant in the area of
Contracts.


Elizabeth is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, and South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She received the honor of Charleston Business Magazine’s 2017 and 2022 Legal Elite of the Lowcountry for Family Law. She has played competitive tennis in the Charleston area and volunteers on the Island Turtle Team.  Elizabeth also enjoys the outdoors, live music, frequent travel to St. John, USVI and Sanibel Island, and time with family and friends, especially her niece and nephews.
