Sandy is a psychologist in private practice, providing therapy and counseling services to children, families and adults. He also works as a co-parent coach, business coach, collaborative coach and cooperative coach.

Sandy received his PhD, from Syracuse University, in Clinical Psychology. He completed an internship in Child Clinical Psychology at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children, a part of the Medical College of Virginia. He has worked extensively in Child Guidance Clinics, Community Mental Health Centers, and in private practice.

Sandy is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), the Collaborative Practice Training Institute (CPTI) and the Collaborative Professionals of Richmond (CPR), as well as being an associate member of CCFLA.

Sandy is committed to helping children, adolescents and adults clarify, and remove impediments to realizing, their dreams and desires. He works with clients to develop their unique, effective voice and to agree upon and implement techniques aimed at achieving client goals.

A unique aspect of Sandy’s practice is co-parent coaching. This is centered on helping parents, whether married, living together, separated, or divorced, minimize the unnecessary emotional wear and tear that bogs down the business of co-parenting. He helps couples negotiate in good faith, and achieve agreements that are mutually acceptable, without extended conflict.
