Guy J. Vitetta, originally from Philadelphia, PA, graduated from Ohio’s Kenyon College and from Capital University Law School in Columbus, OH in 1991.
Guy served as a Public Defender in Ohio and South Carolina for eleven years before opening his private practice in Charleston, South Carolina.
After practicing family law for a year, Guy became motivated to find better ways of solving family disputes. He sought out alternatives and became the first attorney in South Carolina trained in Collaborative Law. He is a founding member and past president of the South Carolina Collaborative Law Institute. He is also a Certified Family Court Mediator in South Carolina and co-founder of the Mediation and Meeting Center of Charleston.
Guy serves on the South Carolina Bar Practice and Procedure Committee. In addition, in partnership with Sean Keefer, he is a founding member of settlyd.com, a cloud based software solution for family law attorneys currently in use by over 100 law firms in South Carolina. Guy has a private practice in the City of Charleston, South Carolina which is limited to Domestic Relations.
