Paul Schwartz

Born and raised in Charleston, Paul was educated at Riverland Terrace Elementary School and James Island High School.  He attended the College of Charleston, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1978.  He went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1982.

From 1982 to 2020, Paul has practiced law in all South Carolina Courts. His practice has been in the Family Courts, the State Civil Courts, Federal Court, Social Security Disability and SSI. Since 1990, he has served by judicial appointment as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Family Court, protecting the rights of children. His law practice is a general practice and involves civil litigation, family court litigation, Social Security, contracts, business incorporation and other matters, personal injury, and wills and trusts.

Paul is a member of South Carolina Bar Association, Charleston County Bar Association, South Carolina Association for Justice, Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, Charleston Breakfast Rotary Club, James Island Yacht Club, Elks Club of Charleston and Rotary Club of Charleston Breakfast.

He has served on the boards for Headquarters Island Plantation Neighborhood Association, Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, James Island Charter High School, Charleston Habitat for Humanity and Rotary Club of Charleston Breakfast
