The CCFLA (Charleston Cooperative Family Law Association) is an organization whose members are experienced family law attorneys, financial professionals, and mental health professionals. We are not a law firm, so all inquiries about retaining our professionals should be sent directly to individual members. All CCFLA members are committed to helping people resolve family court matters (separation, divorce, custody) in a fair, respectful and dignified manner, and –where applicable– with the best interest of parties’ minor children and other affected family members at the forefront.
The CCFLA was founded as a nonprofit organization in 2019. We incorporated as a 501(c)(4) in 2021. The idea for the CCFLA was itself a cooperative endeavor, with a loose group of 20+ Charleston-area Family Court attorneys who met over the course of several years, brainstorming how to create something unique to our region. The goal was to provide a clear path for people who needed to be in Family Court but wanted to avoid litigation. We engaged in research and much discussion, leading to the formation of a mission statement, CNPA (Cooperative Negotiation Participation Agreement), and organizational structure. Shortly after launching, we began accepting non-attorney professionals as members, as part of our commitment to a holistic approach that values input from experts in finance and mental health, as these are fields that are directly related to our work.
We are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, currently comprised of the following members: Jill HaLevi (Chair), Sabrina Grogan (Vice Chair), John Knobeloch (Treasurer), Natalie Bluestein, Britton Hawk, Jamie Minster, and Christie Zerega.
